The Digitus DS-72221-1GE is a 1U pull-out LCD KVM console with a 19" TFT (1920 × 1080), German keyboard, touchpad and a single-port VGA KVM module, for server rooms that need local screen-and-keyboard access to one server in a 19" rack.
The drawer slides out, the screen tilts up to 120° and a safety lock holds it closed when stowed. The modular design lets the KVM module be swapped, and Digitus states the console saves up to 85% of rack space compared with a separate monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Before you order: The keyboard is the German (DE, QWERTZ) layout — Y and Z are swapped and special characters sit in different places. It is not a UK or US keyboard.

What It Means in Practice
- Connection per server: VGA + USB combo KVM cable per server.
- With one port it is a rack-mounted monitor, keyboard and touchpad for a single server or for an external KVM switch you already own.
- Screen: 19", 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz, 1000:1 contrast, anti-reflective break-proof glass. Set server output to 1920 × 1080 for the sharpest picture.
- The unit is 55.0 cm deep, 8.32 kg, 1U high in black RAL 9005 — plan rack depth before ordering.
What Will Not Work
- UK or US keyboard users expecting their own layout — this is German QWERTZ.
- Servers with only HDMI or DisplayPort outputs without an active adapter — the KVM is VGA.
- Remote access over the network (KVM over IP) — this is a local console.
- More than one server directly — add an external KVM switch for that.
- Shallow wall cabinets — check usable depth for a 55.0 cm unit.
