DIGITUS DS-55339 8K HDMI Splitter, 1x2, with Audio Extractor

8K 60Hz1 in · 2 out48 Gbps · HDCP 2.3Audio extraction

The DIGITUS DS-55339 is a 1x2 HDMI 2.1 splitter that sends one source to two displays at up to 8K (7680 x 4320) at 60 Hz. It is designed for home cinemas, conference rooms and showrooms that need a TV and a projector, or two screens, fed from the same player or PC.

With 48 Gbps bandwidth, HDR, 36-bit Deep Color and HDCP 2.3, the DS-55339 is ready for current 8K and 4K sources. A built-in audio extractor outputs the sound via Toslink (optical) and 3.5 mm stereo, and an EDID switch manages display compatibility.

Compatibility note: Full 8K 60Hz needs an HDMI 2.1 source, Ultra High Speed HDMI cables and 8K-capable displays; with older HDMI 2.0 equipment the splitter passes the highest format the chain supports.

Key Features

8K 60Hz over HDMI 2.1
A 48 Gbps signal path supports 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz with HDR and 36-bit Deep Color, and naturally handles 4K and Full HD sources as well.

Built-in audio extractor
Toslink optical and 3.5 mm stereo outputs let you connect a soundbar, AV receiver or active speakers while the video goes to both displays.

EDID management
An EDID switch helps the source choose a format that both connected displays accept, avoiding blank screens when mixing different TVs, monitors or projectors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I connect a soundbar to the DIGITUS DS-55339?
Yes. The built-in audio extractor provides a Toslink optical output and a 3.5 mm stereo jack, so a soundbar, AV receiver or active speakers can be connected in addition to the two HDMI displays.
Will the DS-55339 work with 4K TVs and HDMI 2.0 players?
Yes. It is backwards compatible, so 4K and Full HD sources and displays work normally. 8K 60Hz is only reached when the source, cables and both displays support HDMI 2.1.
What is the difference between the DS-55339 and the DS-55340?
Both are DIGITUS HDMI 2.1 8K60 splitters with audio extraction and HDCP 2.3. The DS-55339 has two HDMI outputs, while the DS-55340 has four outputs in a longer housing.
Singular Expert Insight
The DIGITUS DS-55339 is a future-proof choice for duplicating an HDMI 2.1 source to two screens, typically a TV plus a projector, with sound routed to an optical soundbar. If you only need 4K60, the DIGITUS DS-55336 (1x2, HDMI 2.0) is the simpler option, and the DS-55340 adds two more outputs. Compare models in our video splitters category.
✓ Buy it if you want 8K/4K HDR on two displays from one HDMI 2.1 source with optical audio out.
✕ Skip it if your sources and screens are HDMI 2.0 only and you do not need audio extraction.
→ Also consider DIGITUS DS-55340 for four 8K outputs, or DIGITUS DS-55336 for a 4K60 two-way split.
