Do I need two separate transceivers?
No. This DAC already includes an SFP28 connector at each end. It plugs into compatible host ports as one assembly.
Can I monitor optical power with DDM?
No. The manufacturer specifies no DDM support, and this is a copper cable rather than an optical link.
Will it work in every Cisco or other SFP28 switch?
The datasheet lists several brands, but it does not verify every model and firmware combination. Check both hosts for acceptance of DN-81245 before ordering.
