Digitus OS2 SC to SC Duplex Fibre Patch Cable — 2 m
OS2 9/125 µmSC ↔ SCDuplex2 m · LSZH
The Digitus DK-2922-02 is a 2 m duplex OS2 single-mode fibre optic patch cable (9/125 µm) with SC on one end and SC on the other, for single-mode optics such as 1000BASE-LX or 10GBASE-LR SFP/SFP+ transceivers, media converters and single-mode patch panels.
The yellow 2.0 mm jacket is LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen). Every cable is tested and shipped with its own measurement report. OS2 is the current single-mode grade (9/125 µm). It is the choice for runs between floors or buildings, carrier and FTTH connections, and any LX/LR/ER-type optics; the reach is set by the transceiver, not by this short patch cord.
Before you order: This is single-mode (OS2) fibre. It works only with single-mode transceivers (LX, LR, ER and similar) — not with multimode SR optics. Check the label on your SFP module before ordering. The manufacturer does not publish the polish type; use it with UPC (blue) ports, not green APC ones.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Digitus OS2 duplex patch cable, SC to SC, 2 m
- Individual test / measurement report
- Supplied in a polybag
- No couplers, adapters or transceivers are included
What It Means in Practice
- Duplex = two fibres, one to transmit and one to receive. A standard SFP/SFP+ module uses both, so one duplex cable makes one link.
- Same connector on both ends: SC (larger, push-pull) — common on older switches, media converters, fibre wall outlets and FTTH gear.
- Jacket colour follows the usual convention (yellow single-mode, aqua OM3, violet OM4, lime OM5), so the cable is easy to identify later in the rack.
What Will Not Work
- Multimode SR transceivers or multimode (aqua/violet/lime) cabling — mixing single-mode and multimode fails or gives an unstable link.
- APC (green) ports — many FTTH/GPON ONTs and fibre wall outlets use SC/APC.
- Ports other than SC (e.g. LC, ST, MPO/MTP) — use the matching cable or a suitable coupler.
- It is a passive cable: it does not turn an RJ45 copper port into fibre — that needs an SFP module or a media converter.
Key Features
LSZH 2.0 mm jacket
Low smoke, zero halogen — suitable for offices, public buildings and server rooms where PVC is not wanted.
SC / SC
SC on both ends for straight equipment-to-panel or equipment-to-equipment links.
Tested, with report
Each cable is measured before shipping and the report is in the bag — handy for installation documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it work with my SFP module?
Yes, if the module is single-mode (LX, LR, ER, or a single-mode BiDi) with a matching port. SR modules are multimode and need an OM3/OM4 cable instead.
The link shows no light — is the cable faulty?
Most often TX and RX are crossed the wrong way, or the connectors are dusty. Clean the end faces and check the TX/RX direction on both devices.
Do I need a different length?
The same cable family is available in several lengths. Tell us the distance and the ports at both ends and we will suggest the right cord.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
For fibre patch cords three things decide the order: fibre type (single-mode OS2), connectors on each end (SC / SC) and polish (UPC/APC). Match all three to the ports you already have and the cable simply works. Planning a new fibre uplink? See our
switches with SFP ports.
✓ Buy it if you need a 2 m OS2 duplex link between SC and SC ports.
✕ Skip it if your optics are SR multimode, or your ports are APC (green).
→ Also consider the same cord in other lengths, or the OM3/OM4 multimode version if your optics differ.
Not sure which fibre or connector you have? Send us the switch or SFP module model and we will check it before you order.
