Digitus FTTH Pre-assembled Blow-in Drop Cable, Single-mode, 1 Fibre, LC/APC, 30 m
FTTH blow-inG.657.A2LC/APC both ends30 m · Ø 2.8 mm
The Digitus DK-3901LCA-30 is a 30 m pre-assembled FTTH drop cable with one bend-insensitive single-mode fibre (ITU-T G.657.A2) and factory-polished LC/APC connectors on both ends, designed to be blown with air pressure into a microduct from the building entry point to the subscriber's apartment or office.
Because both ends arrive terminated and tested, the installer blows the cable in and plugs it straight into the fibre termination box and the ONT — no splicing on site. The slim 2.8 mm PE sheath with aramid strain relief keeps the cable thin enough for blowing while protecting the fibre.
Before you order: Check your microduct before ordering: the connector with its stopper is Ø 5.6 mm and 28.5 mm long and the bend-protection sleeve is Ø 4.4 mm, so the duct must pass these. Digitus does not publish a list of compatible duct sizes. The connectors are APC (green) and need LC/APC ports.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Digitus FTTH pre-assembled blow-in drop cable, 1 fibre, LC/APC to LC/APC, 30 m
What It Means in Practice
- Typical use: last-metre FTTH connection from the floor or basement distributor to the subscriber outlet, blown into an existing empty microduct.
- G.657.A2 fibre tolerates tight bends (minimum bend radius 10 mm), so corners and outlet boxes do not cause extra loss as easily as with standard fibre.
- Insertion loss ≤ 0.3 dB and return loss ≥ 60 dB per connector meet typical GPON/XGS-PON operator requirements for APC links.
- At 30 m it covers most in-building riser-to-apartment runs; measure the duct route first, as the length cannot be shortened without re-terminating.
What Will Not Work
- UPC (blue) ports — the connectors are LC/APC.
- Multimode equipment — the fibre is single-mode.
- Outdoor, aerial or direct-burial routes — Digitus specifies indoor application.
- Ducts too narrow for the Ø 5.6 mm connector stopper.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a blowing machine?
Yes, the cable is designed for installation by air-pressure blowing into a microduct, as used by FTTH installers.
Can I pull it instead of blowing?
Short, straight duct runs can sometimes be pulled with care, but Digitus specifies blow-in installation; protect the connectors either way.
Will it work with my ISP's ONT?
If the ONT and the building termination box have LC/APC ports — send us the ONT model and we will check.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
This is an installer's part: a factory-terminated FTTH drop that removes splicing from the apartment end of the job. The two checks are duct size (the Ø 5.6 mm stopper must pass) and APC ports at both ends. For the network side, see our
switches with SFP/SFP+ ports.
✓ Buy it if you are connecting an FTTH subscriber through an empty microduct with LC/APC ports at both ends, about 30 m apart.
✕ Skip it if your ports are UPC/SC or the route is outdoor or longer than 30 m.
→ Also consider LC/APC single-mode patch cables for connecting the ONT inside the apartment.
