The DIGITUS DS-55328 is a wireless HDMI extender set (one transmitter, one receiver) that sends video and stereo audio up to 150 m in clear line of sight at up to 4K/30Hz, and lets you operate the source PC from the display end with a USB keyboard, mouse or touch panel. It is aimed at meeting rooms, digital signage, exhibition stands and control desks where pulling an HDMI or network cable is not practical.
The transmitter has an HDMI input plus an HDMI loop-out, so a local monitor stays connected at the source. The receiver drives the remote screen and offers two USB-A ports for keyboard, mouse or a touch display. The set can grow to one transmitter and up to four receivers by adding DS-55329 receiver units, turning it into a wireless 1-to-4 splitter.
Before you order: 150 m is the manufacturer figure for a 1:1 link with unobstructed line of sight. Walls, glass and furniture reduce range, and with more receivers the rated distance drops (1:2 up to 100 m, 1:3 up to 30 m, 1:4 up to 15 m). Plan a site check if the two ends are not in view of each other.

What It Means in Practice
- Plug & play: connect the source to the transmitter, the screen to the receiver, power both and they pair automatically on the best Wi-Fi channel — no driver or app.
- To control the PC from the screen end, connect the supplied Micro-USB cable from the transmitter to the PC and plug a keyboard/mouse or touch panel into the receiver.
- Latency is about 100 ms: fine for presentations, dashboards and signage, noticeable for fast gaming or live-music monitoring.
- The radio link is encrypted (AES-128, WPA2), so neighbouring rooms cannot pick up your picture by accident.
What Will Not Work
- Not a 4K/60Hz link: the wireless path carries up to 4K at 30Hz, even though the HDMI ports accept 4K/60 signals.
- Not for through-wall installs where distance matters — the 150 m rating needs clear line of sight.
- No surround sound: audio is 2-channel PCM.
- Extra receivers are not included; you need one DS-55329 per additional screen.
- Not for outdoor or damp locations (operating range 0–40°C, indoor use).
