The Digitus DS-12910 is an 8-port HDMI KVM switch that lets one keyboard, mouse and monitor control up to eight computers or servers at resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at 30 Hz. It is built for server rooms, labs and control desks where eight machines share one console in a 19" rack.
Ports are selected with the front-panel buttons, keyboard hotkeys or the on-screen display (OSD), which also offers a user-login mode, and Auto Scan cycles through the connected systems automatically. Keep Online keyboard/mouse emulation and DDC support keep every connected PC responsive at BIOS level without drivers.
Compatibility note: KVM cables are not included. Each computer needs an HDMI cable plus a USB-A to USB-B cable (4K-capable HDMI cables for UHD). 4K is limited to 30 Hz, which suits server consoles and office work but not smooth video or gaming at 60 Hz.
Key Features
Eight systems, one console
Manage up to eight PCs or servers from a single USB keyboard, mouse and HDMI monitor, freeing rack space and desk clutter.
OSD with user login
Name and select ports from the on-screen menu, with a user-login mode for basic access control, plus buttons, hotkeys and Auto Scan.
Keep Online emulation
Keyboard and mouse emulation keeps inactive computers responsive, and DDC passes monitor information to each source for correct resolution.

Singular Expert Insight
The DS-12910 is a sensible upgrade for racks moving from VGA to HDMI servers: eight ports, OSD with login and rack plates in the box at a moderate price. The 30 Hz ceiling at 4K is the trade-off, so it belongs in the server room rather than on a creative workstation. Compare other port counts and interfaces in our KVM switches range.
✓ Buy it if you need to control up to eight HDMI servers or PCs from one 19" console with OSD port names.
✕ Skip it if you need 4K at 60 Hz, dual monitors or cables in the box.
→ Also consider the Argus AS-9108HA (8-port HDMI, cables included, 1080p) or a DIGITUS modular console system for full rack integration.
