DIGITUS Active USB 3.2 Gen 1 Extension Cable, USB-C to USB-C, 10 m

Place a webcam, hub or drive up to 10 m away from the computer without losing SuperSpeed USB.
USB 3.2 Gen 1 · 5 Gbps10 m active extensionUSB-C male to USB-C female
The DIGITUS Active USB 3.2 Gen 1 extension cable (part number DA-73109) extends a USB-C port of a computer by 10 m to a USB-C socket at up to 5 Gbps. An integrated active signal amplifier refreshes the signal, so SuperSpeed devices such as webcams, card readers and hubs keep working at distances where a passive cable would fail.
Compatibility Note: Without external power the connected device may draw only about 4.5 W; add a 5 V supply for hubs or drives. Plug the USB-C male end into the computer and follow the DIGITUS connection order in the quick guide, otherwise the device may not initialise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the DIGITUS DA-73109 for an external hard drive?
Yes, if you connect the optional 5 V external supply or the drive has its own power adapter. Bus-powered drives above about 4.5 W are not supported without extra power.
What is the difference between the DA-73109 and DA-73112?
The DA-73109 runs USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) over 10 m and has an optional power input. The DA-73112 is faster at 10 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2) but limited to 5 m and powered by the host only.
Singular Expert Insight
Choose this cable when a USB device has to sit further away than a passive USB 3 cable allows (about 2-3 m): meeting-room webcams, scanners or hubs on another desk. At 10 m (20 m when cascaded) it covers most meeting rooms; if you need 10 Gbps, stay within 5 m with the DA-73112.
✓ Buy it if you need to extend a USB-C port by 10 m for a low-power USB device at 5 Gbps.
✕ Skip it if you need to extend USB-C video or laptop charging; this cable is for USB data only.
→ Also consider DIGITUS DA-73111 when the far-end device has a USB-A plug (USB-C to USB-A female, 10 m).
