The DIGITUS DN-97694 is a 2U 19-inch blanking panel in light grey ral 7035 sheet steel with a ventilation grille, used to close unused height units in network and server cabinets. Closing the gaps gives the cabinet a clean front, keeps loose cables and fingers out, and lets air pass through the grille instead of through open holes. Its hinge lets you swing the panel open for maintenance without unscrewing it from the rack.
It mounts on standard 19" (482.6 mm, IEC 60297) profile rails, and DIGITUS supplies the cage nuts, screws and washers in the box. The light grey RAL 7035 finish matches grey cabinets; a black twin is available.
Before you order: DIGITUS states that the hinge allows front access without removing the panel, but does not publish the opening direction or angle. Allow free space in front of the panel for it to open.

What It Means in Practice
- Covers exactly 2U (88 mm) of rack height — count the empty units and combine 1U and 2U panels as needed.
- The vented design is meant for passive airflow; for a clear front-to-back cooling path in a hot-aisle layout, solid panels are the usual choice.
- Use the hinged panel in front of cable spaces or equipment you access often, so you do not lose cage nuts and screws at every visit.
- Steel panel, 0.45 kg — sturdy enough to stay straight on wide 19" rails.
What Will Not Work
- It is not a shelf and must not carry equipment.

- The ventilation grille does not include a fan or a dust filter.
