Terminate a full 48-port Cat6A shielded installation without a punch-down tool
Cat6A / 500 MHz360° shieldedToolless LSA48 modules
The Digitus Cat6A keystone module set (48 pieces) gives installers 48 shielded, toolless RJ45 jacks rated for 10GBase-T at 500 MHz, aimed at anyone fitting out a modular patch panel, a floor distributor or a run of wall outlets in an office or server room.
Each module has a nickel-plated zinc die-cast housing with 360° shield contact, colour-coded LSA insulation-displacement contacts for T568A and T568B, and a dust cap on the socket. Wires are pressed in by closing the module, so no impact tool is needed. A box of 48 covers two fully loaded 24-port 1U modular panels, or one panel plus the matching wall outlets at the other end of the links.
Before you order: These are shielded modules: the full benefit, and the Cat6A rating, only apply with shielded installation cable (F/UTP, S/FTP or similar) and a panel or outlet frame that is earthed. With unshielded U/UTP cable the shield has nothing to connect to.

What It Means in Practice
- No punch-down tool: strip the cable, lay the pairs in the colour-coded LSA slots and close the module. The lid presses the conductors into the contacts.
- Solid and stranded conductors from AWG 26/7 up to AWG 22/1 are accepted, so both thin patch-grade and thick Cat7A-type installation cable can be terminated.
- Digitus tested these modules with AWG 22/1 solid installation cable, which is the thick end of the range; thinner AWG 23 Cat6A cable also falls inside the published range.
- PoE, PoE+ and 4PPoE (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt) are supported in the permanent link, so cameras, access points and PoE lighting can be powered over the same jacks.
- The module measures 14.5 mm wide, so 24 fit side by side in a 1U 19-inch modular panel; the same module clips into design-compatible modular wall and floor outlets.
- Strain relief is done with a cable tie plus the reclosable cable manager, so you can reopen and re-terminate a module if a pair was laid wrong.
- Pick T568A or T568B once for the whole site and use the same scheme at both ends of every link; the colour coding on the module shows both, which makes it easy to mix them up on a long day.
- Because the housing is metal, the module itself carries the shield to the panel. On a modular panel with an earthing stud, one bonding lead from the panel to the rack earth bar is what completes the shielded system.
What Will Not Work
- Not a 10 Gbit/s fix for old cable: 10GBase-T needs Cat6A (or better) installation cable along the whole link, not just Cat6A jacks.
- It will not fit a fixed-port (non-modular) patch panel. The panel or outlet must take keystone-type snap-in modules.
- Not intended for crimping onto patch cords: it is a jack for installation cable, not a plug.
- Digitus does not publish a cable outer-diameter range for this module; with very thick or heavily jacketed cable, check the fit on one module first or ask us.
- Shield continuity is lost if you mix these shielded jacks with an unearthed plastic panel or with unshielded cable.
Key Features
360° shield contact
The die-cast housing wraps the cable shield all the way round, keeping Cat6A alien-crosstalk performance on shielded links and giving a clean path to the panel earth. It also makes the jack physically tougher than a plastic keystone when patch cords are pulled repeatedly.
Toolless LSA termination
Colour-coded slots for T568A and T568B. Closing the module seats every conductor at once, which gives repeatable results across a 48-port job.
PoE to 802.3bt
Rated for PoE, PoE+ and 4PPoE in the permanent link, with dielectric strength of 1000 VDC contact to contact and 1500 VDC contact to ground.
GHMT certified
Digitus publishes GHMT certification and a Cat6A channel-link certificate for this module, plus compliance with ISO/IEC 11801 3rd edition and EN 50173-1.

On shielded Cat6A jobs most failed certifications come from the shield, not the pairs: keep the foil and drain wire under the clamp, and make sure the panel is bonded to the rack earth. If you are building the rack at the same time, the rack accessories range covers modular panels, cable management and earthing parts that go with these modules.
✓ Buy it if You are terminating 24 to 48 shielded Cat6A links and want toolless, repeatable terminations with PoE++ headroom.
✕ Skip it if Your installation cable is unshielded U/UTP, or your panel has fixed ports rather than keystone slots.
