The DIGITUS DS-55526 is a transmitter and receiver set that extends HDMI video, audio, USB 2.0 and infrared over a single network cable using HDBaseT — so a PC can stay in a server room or rack while the screen, keyboard and mouse sit up to 150 m away in a control room, reception, classroom or digital-signage location.
It carries 4K at 60 Hz 4:4:4 (HDMI 2.0b, HDCP 2.2, 18 Gbps, HDR10/HDR10+/Dolby Vision/HLG) up to 120 m and 1080p at 60 Hz up to 150 m. The receiver has two USB 2.0 ports for keyboard, mouse, webcam, storage or a touch panel, and bidirectional IR lets you control the source or display remotely. Power over Cable (PoC) means only one unit needs the supplied 24 V power supply.
Before you order: This is a point-to-point extender over a direct cable run — it does not work through Ethernet switches or over an IP network. DIGITUS recommends Cat6A or better cable for full distance.

What It Means in Practice
- Keep a noisy PC or media player in the rack and work at a quiet desk or wall display up to 150 m away, with full keyboard/mouse control.
- 4K at 60 Hz with HDR reaches 120 m — enough for most building runs; beyond that, use 1080p for the full 150 m.
- Touch screens work: the USB back channel carries touch input to the PC.
- The EDID switch on the transmitter lets you copy the display's EDID or force a safe 1080p/2-channel profile when a display behaves oddly.
- Metal, wall-mountable units (65 × 140 × 18 mm each) fit behind displays and in cabinets.
What Will Not Work
- Cannot run through a switch, patch to multiple screens or stream over IP — one transmitter to one receiver only.
- Not powered by PoE from a network switch; it uses the supplied 24 V adapter and PoC between the units.
- No RS-232 control channel is published.
- 4K/60 is limited to 120 m; longer runs need 1080p or a fibre extender.
- Not compatible with HDBaseT units from other brands unless confirmed — buy the set.
