Digitus HDMI 2.1 AOC Hybrid Fibre Optic Cable 70 m — Ultra High Speed 8K
HDMI 2.1 · 48 Gbps8K 60Hz · 4K 60Hz70 m active opticalHDR · eARC · HDCP 2.2
The Digitus HDMI AOC hybrid fibre optic cable (70 m, black, AK-330126-700-S) is an Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable that carries 8K at 60 Hz and up to 48 Gbps over distances where copper HDMI cables fail — built for meeting rooms, lecture halls, digital signage and home-cinema installations where the display sits far from the source.
Inside, OM3 optical fibre carries the high-speed video signal while copper wires (AWG 30) handle the control and power lines, so the cable stays thin (4.5 mm) and light for its length. Both ends are standard gold-plated HDMI Type A plugs with metal hoods; the cable draws a maximum of 400 mW from the HDMI port, and Digitus lists no external power supply.
Before you order: An HDMI AOC is usually directional — one end must face the source and the other the display. Digitus does not state the direction marking on its product page, so check the labels on the plugs before you pull the cable through conduit; if in doubt, ask us before installation.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Digitus HDMI AOC hybrid fibre optic cable, UHD 8K, 70 m, black, HDMI Type A plugs at both ends
- No adapters, pulling sleeve or power supply listed
What It Means in Practice
- 8K (7680×4320) at 60 Hz or 4K at 60 Hz with HDR (BT.2020, up to 48-bit deep colour, YUV 4:4:4) over the full 70 m
- eARC returns uncompressed audio from the TV to a soundbar or AV receiver — Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and up to 32 audio channels
- HDCP 2.2, CEC, EDID and HEC are passed through, so protected content and one-remote control work
- The 4.5 mm diameter and 45 mm bend radius make it easier to pull through ducts than thick copper HDMI cables
- Net weight of the 70 m version: 1.85 kg
What Will Not Work
- Digitus publishes 4K at 60 Hz, not 4K at 120 Hz — do not count on 4K120 for gaming consoles or PCs
- VRR, ALLM and Dolby Vision are not listed by Digitus
- Not a DisplayPort, DVI or USB-C cable — DVI only through a separate adapter
- Do not crush, knot or bend it tighter than 45 mm — the optical fibre can break
- Not specified for outdoor or direct-burial use

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Above about 10–15 m, passive copper HDMI struggles with 4K/8K; an optical AOC like this is the reliable way to reach a projector or a display at the far end of a room. Order a few metres more than the measured route, because the cable cannot be shortened. To feed several screens from one source, see our HDMI splitters.
✓ Buy it if you need 8K60 or 4K60 HDR over a long fixed run in a meeting room, classroom, venue or home cinema.
✕ Skip it if the run is under 10 m (a passive Ultra High Speed cable is cheaper) or you need 4K at 120 Hz.
→ Also consider Shorter Digitus HDMI AOC lengths, or HDBaseT extenders over Cat6A where a network cable is already installed.
Not sure it fits your setup? Send us the model of your rack, switch or device and we will check compatibility before you order.
