The DIGITUS DS-55355 is a 4K HDMI KVM-over-IP extender set: it carries video at up to 4K/60Hz (4096x2160) plus USB keyboard, mouse and touch-screen control between a computer and a remote screen over CAT 6 or better cable — up to 200 m on a direct run, or across your Gigabit network through standard switches. Additional DS-55356 receivers expand it to up to 253 displays.
It is designed for control rooms, interactive kiosks and signage with touch screens, meeting rooms and server rooms: keep the PC in a secure place and operate it at the screen as if it were local. Latency is 120–170 ms at 4K/60 and 80–110 ms in Full HD.
Before you order: Point-to-point reaches 200 m; through a switch each section is up to 120 m. Use Gigabit switches and preferably a dedicated switch or VLAN for the video streams. USB on the extender is USB 2.0 for keyboard, mouse and touch input — not intended for storage or webcams.

What It Means in Practice
- Connect the supplied USB cable between the transmitter and the PC; plug a keyboard, mouse or touch display into the receiver’s two USB-A ports.
- Start point-to-point, then add a Gigabit switch and DS-55356 receivers for more screens.
- Protection against short circuit, overvoltage and ESD.
- HDMI cable length on either side should stay at 5 m or less.
What Will Not Work
- No IR channel is published for this KVM model (the non-KVM DS-55351 has IR).
- Not for USB storage, cameras or audio devices through the KVM link.
- Not wireless — CAT 6 or better is required.
- Extra receivers (DS-55356) are sold separately.
- Not for outdoor use.
