DIGITUS DN-PWR-STD-12024 — 24 V / 120 W Industrial DIN-Rail Power Supply
24 V DC · 5 A · 120 W90–264 V AC inputDIN rail TS-35Fanless · -20 to +70 °C
The DIGITUS DN-PWR-STD-12024 is a 120 W industrial AC-DC power supply that turns 90–264 V AC mains into a regulated 24 V DC output at up to 5 A, mounted directly on a TS-35 DIN rail. DIGITUS builds it for control cabinets, machine controls, IoT installations and industrial automation, where a plug-in adapter is neither safe nor tidy.
The metal housing is cooled by natural convection only, so there is no fan to clog with dust or fail after a few years, and the unit runs silently. The output can be trimmed from 24–28 V to match the exact input your equipment expects, and the supply protects itself against short circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature. It is rated for -20 to +70 °C ambient, which covers unheated technical rooms and warm cabinets alike.
24 V DC is the standard control voltage in automation — PLCs, relays, industrial switches, sensors and building-installation devices run on it.
Before you order: This is a DIN-rail module for fixed wiring inside a cabinet. It has no mains plug and no DC lead, and it must be wired and earthed by a qualified electrician. DIGITUS publishes no DC-input range, so feed it from AC mains only.
What's in the Box
- 1 × DIGITUS industrial power supply 24 V DC / 120 W (DN-PWR-STD-12024)
- No mains cable, DC leads or DIN rail are listed in the scope of delivery — plan your own cabinet wiring
What It Means in Practice
- Load budget: up to 5 A continuous at 24 V, i.e. 120 W in total. Add up the maximum draw of everything on the rail and keep a margin of at least 20% for start-up peaks.
- 24 V is the usual supply for PLCs, I/O modules, relays, sensors and many industrial Ethernet switches. PoE switches normally need 48 V or more to power their PoE ports, so use this unit for 24 V loads and the 48 V model for PoE.
- Fanless convection cooling: leave free space above and below the unit and keep its ventilation openings clear, otherwise the overtemperature protection will shut the output down.
- Width on the rail is 113 mm, height 125 mm and depth 40 mm — check the cabinet door clearance before ordering.
What Will Not Work
- It will not run equipment that needs more than 5 A / 120 W — the overload protection cuts the output instead.
- It is not an outdoor product: DIGITUS specifies indoor use only and publishes no IP rating, so a sealed enclosure is needed in wet or dusty locations.
- It is not a plug-in adapter for desk equipment: there is no wall plug, barrel jack or USB output.
- No redundancy, battery backup or alarm relay is published — for uninterrupted power you need a UPS or a separate DC-UPS module.
Key Features
Wide-range AC input
90–264 V AC, 47–63 Hz covers 230 V mains in Cyprus and Europe as well as 110–120 V installations without any switch.
Adjustable output
Trim the output from 24–28 V to compensate for long cable runs or to match a device that expects a slightly higher input voltage.
Rugged metal housing
Fanless, maintenance-free design for permanent installation in cabinets, with efficiency up to 89%.
Built-in protection
Short-circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protection guard both the supply and the connected load.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it to power a PoE switch?
Only if the switch is specified for a 24 V DC input. Most PoE switches need 48–57 V to deliver PoE to their ports, so for PoE use the 48 V DN-PWR-STD-24048 is usually the right unit. Send us the switch model and we will check.
Can I power several devices from one unit?
Yes, as long as they all need 24 V DC and their combined maximum draw stays under 5 A. Distribute the output through terminal blocks and fuse each branch to suit its cable.
Is there a version with a different voltage or power?
Yes. The DIGITUS DN-PWR-STD-24048 delivers 48 V DC at 5 A (240 W) in the same metal DIN-rail format, and the Step-Shape DN-PWR-SST-3624 covers small 24 V loads up to 36 W.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
DIGITUS DN-PWR-STD-12024 is a no-frills cabinet supply: wide-range input, a trimmable 24 V output and fanless metal construction rated to +70 °C. The data sheet is short — DIGITUS publishes no ripple, MTBF or certification figures for this model — so it suits general industrial and network-cabinet use rather than projects that demand a specified approval. If it is feeding industrial network gear, browse our
network switches and check that the switch input range includes 24 V.
✓ Buy it if you need a clean 24 V DC rail of up to 120 W inside a control or network cabinet, with no fan to maintain.
✕ Skip it if you need a plug-in adapter, an outdoor-rated unit, or a supply with a published certification, ripple or MTBF value for a tender.
→ Also consider DIGITUS DN-PWR-STD-24048 when you need 48 V or up to 240 W.
