DIGITUS Industrial Power Supply 48V DC 5A 240W · DIN Rail AC-DC, Metal Housing · Fanless, Adjustable 48–55 V

The DIGITUS DN-PWR-STD-24048 is a 240 W industrial AC-DC power supply that turns 90–264 V AC mains into a regulated 48 V DC output at up to 5 A, mounted directly on a TS-35 DIN rail. DIGITUS builds it for control cabinets, machine controls, IoT installations and industrial automation, where a plug-in adapter is neither safe nor tidy.

The metal housing is cooled by natural convection only, so there is no fan to clog with dust or fail after a few years, and the unit runs silently. The output can be trimmed from 48–55 V to match the exact input your equipment expects, and the supply protects itself against short circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature. It is rated for -20 to +70 °C ambient, which covers unheated technical rooms and warm cabinets alike.

At 48 V it is the natural choice for equipment designed around a 48 V DC input, such as many industrial PoE switches and telecom-style devices.

• Load budget: up to 5 A continuous at 48 V, i.e. 240 W in total. Add up the maximum draw of everything on the rail and keep a margin of at least 20% for start-up peaks.
• 48 V is the input voltage used by many industrial PoE switches. A PoE switch draws its own consumption plus the full PoE budget it hands out, so a switch with a 180 W PoE budget is already close to this unit’s limit.
• Fanless convection cooling: leave free space above and below the unit and keep its ventilation openings clear, otherwise the overtemperature protection will shut the output down.
• Width on the rail is 113 mm, height 125 mm and depth 50 mm — check the cabinet door clearance before ordering.

• It will not run equipment that needs more than 5 A / 240 W — the overload protection cuts the output instead.
• It is not an outdoor product: DIGITUS specifies indoor use only and publishes no IP rating, so a sealed enclosure is needed in wet or dusty locations.
• It is not a plug-in adapter for desk equipment: there is no wall plug, barrel jack or USB output.
• No redundancy, battery backup or alarm relay is published — for uninterrupted power you need a UPS or a separate DC-UPS module.
