The DIGITUS DN-91624S-SL-EA-G is a 24-port Cat 6A high-density shielded 19-inch 0.5U patch panel in light grey (RAL 7035). It mounts in a 19-inch rack or cabinet and takes up half a rack unit (0.5U). Installation cable is punched down on the back with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, and the 24 RJ45 sockets on the front take ordinary patch cords, rated for 10 Gbit/s (10GBase-T). In practice it gives the cables coming from wall outlets and ceilings a fixed, labelled end point next to your switch, so that moves and changes are made with short patch cords at the panel instead of re-terminating installation cable. If you are planning a new rack, send us the number of outlets and the switch you use — we check that panel, cable and patch cords match before you order.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This is the slim 0.5U model — two fit in 1U for 48 ports; the standard 1U version of this Cat 6A panel is DN-91624S-EA. The ports are fixed and terminated with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, which is not in the box. As a shielded panel it only gives its full screening with shielded cable and a grounded rack or earth point; DIGITUS states the earthing wire is not included. Do I need a special tool?
Yes. The installation cable is terminated on the back with an LSA (Krone) punch-down tool, which is not included. If you order the panel with cable, tell us and we add a suitable tool.
Will it carry 10 Gbit/s?
Yes, when the whole link is Cat 6A. DIGITUS rates the panel Cat 6A, but the weakest part of the link sets the speed, so use Cat 6A installation cable and Cat 6A patch cords too.
Does it fit my rack?
It fits standard 19-inch racks and cabinets and takes up 0.5U. Send us the rack model if you want us to check depth and free space.
Does it need to be grounded?
Yes, for the shield to work. Connect the panel to the rack or building earth. With unshielded cable the shield has no effect.
