The DIGITUS DN-19 BPN-04-SW is a 4U blank panel for 482.6 mm (19") network and server cabinets that closes unused rack space, keeps the front of the cabinet tidy and helps maintain front-to-back airflow. It is made from robust sheet steel in black RAL 9005 and fits all 19" profile rails.
Blank panels are one of the simplest ways to improve cooling in a cabinet: open gaps let hot exhaust air flow back to the front and into the intakes of switches and servers. A single 4U panel closes a larger gap in one piece, which looks cleaner than stacking several 1U plates.
Before you order: This panel is 4U high and black. If you only need to close 1U, 2U or 3U, DIGITUS makes other heights in the same DN-19 BPN series — check the height before ordering so it matches the gap.

What It Means in Practice
- Measure the gap in rack units: 4U is 177.8 mm high, the space of four standard 1U devices.
- Closing unused space stops hot exhaust air recirculating to the front, which lowers intake temperatures for switches and servers.
- Black RAL 9005 matches most black cabinets and 19" devices, so the front looks uniform.
- The panel also hides reserved space for future equipment until you need it.
What Will Not Work
- It does not fit 10" (254 mm) mini cabinets — it is for 19" rails only.
- It is not vented or brushed: cables cannot pass through it. Use a brush panel where cables must go through.
- It does not carry weight and cannot be used as a shelf.
- It will not match a light grey RAL 7035 cabinet colour.
