Digitus DN-651111 — PoE++ power for non-PoE industrial devices
IEEE 802.3bt input12 / 16 / 24 / 48 V DCGigabit · DIN rail-40 °C to 75 °C
The Digitus DN-651111 is an industrial Gigabit PoE++ splitter that takes IEEE 802.3bt power from a PoE switch or injector and turns it into a selectable 12, 16, 24 or 48 V DC supply plus a separate Gigabit data port. It is meant for control cabinets, machines and outdoor enclosures where a device needs Ethernet and DC power but has no PoE input of its own.
The DC output is on a removable 4-pin terminal block with two parallel outputs, set by DIP switch: 48 V / 1 A (default), 24 V / 2.3 A, 16 V / 2.3 A or 12 V / 2.3 A, with a total output of up to 55 W. The aluminium IP30 housing mounts on a DIN rail or a wall and runs from -40 °C to 75 °C.
Before you order: Set the DIP switch to the voltage of your device before connecting it — 48 V is the default. The "95 W" figure seen in some listings is the 802.3bt input class; the usable DC output is up to 55 W.
What's in the Box
- DN-651111 PoE++ splitter
- DIN-rail mount and 2 wall mounts with 4 screws
- 4-pin removable terminal block
- Quick start guide
What It Means in Practice
- One Cat5e/Cat6 cable from a PoE++ switch carries both data and power to the cabinet; no local power supply is needed.
- The terminal block takes bare wires (0.34–2.5 mm²), which suits PLCs, industrial routers, sensors and access-control panels.
- With an 802.3at (30 W) source the splitter still works, but the available DC power drops accordingly — plan the load against the PSE class.
- The -40 °C to 75 °C rating covers unheated cabinets and outdoor enclosures.
What Will Not Work
- It has no DC barrel jack — the output is a screw terminal block.
- It is not outdoor-rated on its own (IP30): install it inside a cabinet.
- It does not inject PoE; it needs a PoE switch or injector upstream.
- It does not deliver 55 W from an 802.3af or 802.3at source.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I power a 12 V camera with it?
Yes. Set the DIP switch to 12 V and connect the camera to the terminal block; up to 2.3 A is available at 12 V.
Do I need an 802.3bt switch?
For the full output, yes. With an 802.3at (30 W) switch or injector it works, but with less power available for the device.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Only inside an enclosure. The housing is IP30, while the temperature range of -40 °C to 75 °C suits outdoor cabinets.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A PoE++ splitter is the simplest way to run a non-PoE industrial device from one cable. The two decisions that matter are the DC voltage of the device and the PoE class of the source. If you still need the PoE source, see our
PoE switches.
✓ Buy it if you need 12–48 V DC plus Gigabit data in a DIN-rail cabinet, fed from one PoE cable.
✕ Skip it if your device takes PoE directly, or needs a DC barrel plug and only 5–12 V — a compact desktop splitter is simpler.
→ Also consider an 802.3bt PoE injector if your switch has no PoE++ ports.
