The DIGITUS DN-93612-1 is a shielded Category 6 keystone jack that terminates installation cable into an RJ45 socket without a punch-down tool. It is built for installers and IT teams fitting out modular patch panels, wall outlets and junction boxes in Gigabit structured cabling.
The wires are pressed into colour-coded LSA contacts by closing the integrated cap by hand, and the cap can be reopened if a termination has to be redone. A zinc die-cast body gives 360° shield contact, so a shielded cable stays shielded right up to the socket.
Before you order: This is one module. Patch panels and outlets are sold empty — check that your panel or faceplate takes standard keystone modules before ordering.

What It Means in Practice
- Terminate Cat6 installation cable at the panel and at the wall outlet with the same module, so both ends of the permanent link match.
- No punch-down tool needed: lay the pairs in the colour-coded slots (T568A or T568B) and close the cap.
- Mistakes are fixable — the locking cap reopens without tools for re-termination.
- With 24 modules fitting a 1U 19" panel, you can build a full 24-port shielded panel from individual jacks.
What Will Not Work
- Not for 10 Gbit over long runs — the module is rated Cat6 / 1GBase-T; choose a Cat6A keystone for 10GBase-T.
- It does not crimp onto patch-cord plugs; it is for solid or stranded installation cable punched into LSA contacts.
- It will not shield an unshielded (U/UTP) installation — shield continuity needs shielded cable and a grounded panel.
- Not suitable for wet or outdoor locations; storage and installation must stay dry.
