The DIGITUS DN-93909 is a fully shielded Cat6A field termination coupler that joins two lengths of twisted-pair installation cable directly, wire to wire, for installers who need to extend or repair a damaged cable run without a patch panel or RJ45 plugs.
Both cable ends are terminated in the field into the zinc die-cast housing, wired 1:1, for AWG 22 to 26 conductors. DIGITUS rates it Cat6A / Class EA up to 500 MHz, so it suits 10GBase-T links when the rest of the channel is Cat6A as well.
Before you order: This coupler takes bare installation cable on both sides; it has no RJ45 sockets. To join two patch cords with RJ45 plugs you need an RJ45 inline coupler (for example DIGITUS DN-93905).

- Typical use: a cable was cut during building work or ends a few metres short — terminate both ends into the coupler instead of pulling a new run.
- Shielded housing keeps the shield continuous when you use S/FTP or F/UTP cable.
- Keystone design lets the coupler be clipped into a keystone-compatible holder or box if you want it fixed.
- Suitable for solid installation cable from AWG 22 to AWG 26.
What Will Not Work
- It does not accept RJ45 patch cords or plugs.
- A Cat6A coupler does not upgrade a Cat5e or Cat6 cable; the link keeps the category of its weakest part.
- Not weatherproof and not intended for direct burial or outdoor exposure.
