Digitus DN-95102-1 — 802.3af PoE for one Gigabit device
IEEE 802.3af · 15.4 WGigabit pass-throughInternal PSUPlug and play
The Digitus DN-95102-1 is a single-port Gigabit PoE injector that adds IEEE 802.3af power — 15.4 W at 48 V DC — to an existing Ethernet link. It suits offices and small installations that want to run one IP phone, fixed IP camera or entry-level access point from a switch without PoE.
The power supply is built in: you plug the injector into the mains with a standard power cord, connect the switch to the LAN port and the device to the PoE port. Data passes at 10/100/1000 Mbps, and the injector only applies power after it detects and classifies a compliant PoE device.
Before you order: This model is 802.3af only (15.4 W). It is not a PoE+ injector, even though some documents use that word: Wi-Fi 6 access points, PTZ cameras and devices that need more than about 13 W at the device will not run reliably.

What It Means in Practice
- One cable to the device carries data and power — no power adapter or socket is needed at the ceiling or wall where the device sits.
- Use it to add a single PoE device to a non-PoE switch or router.
- Power travels on the spare pairs (4/5 and 7/8), the most common arrangement for 802.3af midspans.
- Self-consumption is low (max. 1.6 W), so it can stay powered permanently.
What Will Not Work
- It does not power 802.3at (PoE+) or 802.3bt devices at full load.
- It does not provide 12 V DC for non-PoE devices — a splitter is needed for that.
- It is not a switch and does not add ports.
- It is for indoor use only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it power a Wi-Fi 6 access point?
Usually not. Most Wi-Fi 6 access points need 802.3at (PoE+); this injector provides 802.3af at 15.4 W.
Can I connect a laptop to the PoE port by mistake?
Yes, safely. The injector checks for a valid PoE signature before applying power, so a non-PoE device only receives data.
Does it slow down the network?
No. Data passes through at up to 1000 Mbps.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
For one IP phone or a simple fixed camera, an 802.3af injector is the cheapest way to avoid a local power adapter. Check the power class of the device first — if it asks for PoE+ or 802.3at, choose a 30 W injector. For devices that pair well with it, see our
access points.
✓ Buy it if you need to power one 802.3af device up to 15.4 W from a non-PoE switch.
✕ Skip it if the device needs PoE+ (802.3at) or more — pick a 30 W injector.
→ Also consider a Gigabit 802.3at (30 W) PoE+ injector for modern access points and PTZ cameras.
