The DIGITUS DN-FO-KIT-2 is a fibre optic inspection and cleaning set that lets installers check connector end-faces for dirt and scratches and clean them before connecting or splicing. Contaminated connectors are the most common cause of high loss and failed links, and this kit puts the microscope and the cleaning tools for LC and SC connectors together in one sturdy case.
The microscope shows the end-face so you can see whether a connector is clean, dirty or damaged. Click cleaning tools reach inside couplers and adapters for LC and SC connectors, a connector cleaner handles the end-faces of several connectors, and lint-free wipes plus a pump bottle for alcohol cleaner cover stubborn contamination. Everything packs into an aluminium case with foam inserts.
Before you order: The click cleaners are for LC and SC connectors. For other connector types (ST, FC, MPO/MTP, E2000) you will need the matching cleaning tool. The pump bottle is supplied for alcohol cleaner — the cleaning fluid itself should be checked separately before use.

What It Means in Practice

- Click cleaners clean connectors still mounted inside couplers and patch-panel adapters — no need to unpatch.
- Clean both sides of every connection; a dirty connector also contaminates the clean one it mates with.

What Will Not Work
- It does not clean MPO/MTP, ST, FC or E2000 connectors with the click tools (LC and SC only).
- It does not measure optical power or loss — use a power meter or OTDR for that.
- It does not repair scratched or chipped end-faces; damaged connectors must be replaced or re-terminated.
