The Digitus DN-BLIND-SW is a black snap-in blind plate that closes an empty keystone port on a DIGITUS modular patch panel, so the unused opening stays covered, clean and protected from dust and accidental damage.

Modular patch panels are shipped unloaded and filled with keystone jacks only where you need a connection. Every port you leave empty is an open hole in the front of the rack. The DN-BLIND-SW fills that hole with a flat cover in the same black (RAL 9005) as the black versions of the DIGITUS panels, and it clips out again the day you want to add a jack in that position.

Before you order: this is the black version (RAL 9005). If your patch panel is light grey (RAL 7035), a black plate will stand out on the front. The blind plate is made for the keystone ports of DIGITUS modular patch panels; DIGITUS does not publish a compatibility list for other brands, so send us the model of your panel if it is not a DIGITUS one.

What It Means in Practice

  • Snap it into any empty port from the front. No tools, screws or rear access needed.
  • Covers the opening so dust does not settle inside the panel, and nobody pushes a patch cable into a port that has no jack behind it.
  • Easy to reverse. Unclip the plate and fit a keystone jack in that port when the network grows.
  • For a 24-port panel with 16 jacks installed you need 8 plates to close every remaining port.

What Will Not Work

  • It is not a network connector. It has no RJ45 contacts and carries no signal.
  • It is not a 19-inch rack blanking panel. It covers one keystone port, not an empty rack unit (1U). For empty rack units you need a separate blanking panel.
  • It is not listed for wall plates, surface boxes or non-DIGITUS keystone panels. Check with us before ordering for those.
  • It will not match a grey (RAL 7035) patch panel visually.

DIGITUS makes the DN-BLIND-SW as the blind plate for its modular keystone patch panels, and the DN-91410 is one of those panels. Pick the black plate for the black panel. For any other panel, send us the model and we will check.
Can I remove the plate later to add a keystone jack?
Yes. It is a snap-in part. Unclip it from the port and install a keystone jack in the same position.
How many do I need?
One plate per empty port. Count the ports that will stay empty after you install your jacks and order that quantity.
