Digitus USB4 Version 2.0 Cable — 80Gbps, 240W, 1m, Black
USB4 v2.0 · 80Gbps240W PD 3.116K@60Hz1 m · Silicone
The Digitus AK-300350-010-S is a 1m USB-C to USB-C cable built to the USB4 Version 2.0 specification, carrying up to 80Gbps of data, up to 240W of USB Power Delivery 3.1 charging and video up to 16K@60Hz — one cable for the newest docks, monitors, external SSDs and high-power laptops.
The jacket is an ultra-soft, temperature-resistant silicone that stays flexible on a desk and does not hold kinks, and the 30AWG conductors are triple shielded. Digitus states the cable survives up to 10,000 bend cycles in internal testing. Both plugs are reversible USB-C, so there is no wrong way to plug in.
Before you order: 80Gbps and 16K need a USB4 Version 2.0 (or Thunderbolt 5) host and device at both ends. With older ports the cable works fine but runs at the speed of the slower device.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Digitus USB4 Version 2.0 USB-C to USB-C cable, 1 m, black
- 1 × cable tie for storage
What It Means in Practice
- Use it between a new laptop and a USB4/Thunderbolt dock to run power, monitors, network and storage over one connection.
- 240W PD 3.1 covers high-power gaming and workstation laptops, provided the charger and laptop both support 240W (48V/5A).
- It is fully backwards compatible with USB4 Gen 1/Gen 2, USB 3.2/3.1/3.0, USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices, so it can replace most USB-C cables in a bag.
- At 1 m it reaches comfortably from a laptop on the desk to a dock or monitor beside it.
What Will Not Work
- It does not add speed to older devices: a USB 3.2 SSD still runs at USB 3.2 speed over this cable.
- It does not convert to USB-A, HDMI or DisplayPort — both ends are USB-C only; the display must accept video over USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode or USB4).
- 240W charging only happens with a 240W-capable PD 3.1 charger and device; a 65W charger still delivers 65W.
- It is a passive cable, not a dock or hub — it does not split one port into several.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as a Thunderbolt 5 cable?
Digitus specifies it as USB4 Version 2.0 at 80Gbps. Thunderbolt 5 is based on USB4 v2.0, so it is the matching class of cable, but Digitus does not list Thunderbolt certification.
Will it charge my phone or tablet?
Yes. It works with any USB-C device; the device negotiates only the power it needs.
Does a 1 m cable lose speed compared with a shorter one?
No. Digitus rates this 1 m cable for the full 80Gbps and 240W.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Cables are now the bottleneck on new USB4 v2 and Thunderbolt 5 setups: an older USB-C lead quietly drops a dock to 40Gbps or 100W. If you are buying a
USB4 or Thunderbolt docking station, this is the cable to pair with it.
✓ Buy it if you have, or plan to buy, a USB4 v2.0 / Thunderbolt 5 laptop, dock or SSD, or a 240W USB-C laptop.
✕ Skip it if you only need to charge a phone or connect a USB 3.2 device — a basic USB-C cable is enough.
→ Also consider a USB4 or Thunderbolt docking station to use this cable to its full 80Gbps.
