DURABLE Edge Protection Profile E8 — Yellow/Black, Self-Adhesive, 5 × 1 m
For 8 mm edgesSelf-adhesiveWarning stripes5 × 1000 mm
The DURABLE edge protection profile E8 (1127130) is a self-adhesive, flexible PU foam profile with yellow/black warning stripes that wraps over edges up to 8 mm thick — shelving uprights, sheet-metal edges, T-beams, machine frames — both to mark the hazard and to cushion impacts. One bag contains five 1-metre profiles.
It is made for production areas, shipping and warehouses, basements, stairwells and garages, where people walk or drive close to sharp or protruding edges. The profile can be cut to length with a sharp cutter knife.
Before you order: E8 means the inner channel is 8 mm wide: the profile fits over edges and sheets up to 8 mm thick. For thicker edges, corners or flat surfaces Durable makes other profiles (C = corner, S = surface). The adhesive is permanent — plan the position before you press it on.
What's in the Box
- 5 × edge protection profiles E8, 1000 mm each, yellow/black
- Permanent self-adhesive strip on each profile
What It Means in Practice
- Profile 25 mm wide and 30 mm high; inner channel 8 × 19 mm; material thickness 7 mm.
- Yellow/black stripes follow the German workplace signage rule ASR A1.3 — the standard look for hazard marking.
- Flexible PU foam absorbs knocks to heads, hands and vehicles at edges.
- Temperature range −30 to +70 °C; suitable for indoor areas and protected outdoor areas.
- Cut to length with a sharp cutter knife.
What Will Not Work
- Not for edges thicker than 8 mm — the channel will not close over them.
- Not removable or repositionable — the adhesive is permanent.
- Not magnetic (Durable sells separate magnetic profiles).
- Not a fire-retardant product beyond its classification (EN 13501-1 class E).
