Durable KEY BOX CODE 18 — key cabinet for 18 keys with combination lock
18 key hooksCombination lockAluminium, silver6 KEY CLIPs included
The Durable KEY BOX CODE 18 (part number 196923) is a wall-mounted aluminium key cabinet for 18 keys with a 3-digit combination lock, made for offices, property managers, workshops, hotels and car fleets that need keys stored in one place and only opened by people who know the code.
There is no key to lose for the cabinet itself: you set your own code from up to 1,000 combinations and change it when staff change. Inside, key strips with variable hook heights keep long and short keys from overlapping, and a printable index sheet tells everyone which hook belongs to which door.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Durable KEY BOX CODE 18 key cabinet with combination lock
- 6 x KEY CLIP key tags (2 black, 1 red, 1 yellow, 2 blue)
- Wall mounting kit
- Index sheet for hook numbering
What It Means in Practice
- Each of the 18 hooks takes a key ring with tag; use the KEY CLIP colours to group by building, vehicle or department.
- The combination lock means no cabinet key to hide — set a code and share it only with authorised staff.
- The index can be printed from a computer, so the key list stays readable when you reassign hooks.
- Only 6 KEY CLIPs are included; order more KEY CLIP tags if you want every key coloured.
What Will Not Work
- It is a convenience lock, not a safe — it is not certified against break-in or fire.
- There is no electronic logging of who opened it or took which key.
- It is not free-standing; it must be fixed to a wall.
- Only 6 of the 18 hooks get a KEY CLIP tag from the box.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A code key cabinet solves the "who has the key to the cabinet" problem: everyone authorised knows the code, nobody carries an extra key. Pick the 18-key size with room to grow — if you are close to 18 keys today, the 36 version is the safer choice. More office organisation in our office and stationery range.
✓ Buy it if you need 18 keys stored on a wall behind a code lock, with colour tags to group them.
✕ Skip it if you need a certified security safe or electronic key tracking.
→ Also consider KEY BOX CODE 36 if you have more than about 15 keys.
