The Edimax GP-101ST is a Gigabit PoE+ splitter that takes IEEE 802.3at/af power from a PoE switch or injector and splits it into a DC output plus a Gigabit data port. It is the simple way to install a camera, access point, router or other network device that has no PoE input, using one Ethernet cable.
A slide switch selects 5 V, 9 V or 12 V DC, each at up to 2 A, and LEDs show the selected voltage. The included DC Y-cable carries two plug sizes — 5.5 × 2.1 mm and 3.5 × 1.35 mm — which cover most small network devices. The splitter accepts PoE on either Mode A or Mode B pairs.
Before you order: Select the correct voltage before connecting the device — a wrong setting can damage it. The maximum current is 2 A on every voltage, so a 12 V device that needs more than 24 W will not run.
