The EFB-Elektronik EK585.2V2 is a 2 m hot-condition extension cable with an IEC C14 plug and an IEC C15 hot-condition socket, for appliances with a C16 hot-condition inlet, and it also fits ordinary C14 inlets.
EFB builds it with heavy H05RN-F 3G 1.0 mm² rubber cable and VDE/ENEC-marked connectors, rated 10 A at 250 V, for extending hot-condition (C15/C16) connections.
Before you order: This cable has no wall plug. It connects to a UPS or rack PDU with C13 outlets, or extends an existing C13 power cord.

What It Means in Practice
- The notched C15 socket fits C16 hot-condition inlets (rated for higher connector temperatures) as well as normal C14 inlets.
- The C14 end plugs into a UPS or PDU C13 outlet, or into an existing C13 cord to extend it.
- 2 m covers the usual distance from a socket or strip to the device.
What Will Not Work
- It does not plug into a wall socket: there is no BS 1363 or Schuko plug.
- It does not fit C5, C7 or C19/C20 inlets.
- A normal C13 cord does not fit a C16 inlet, which is why this C15 version exists.
- It is not a surge protector and adds no protection to the connected device.
