The EPOS IMPACT SC 660, article number 1000555, is a premium binaural wired headset built for people who spend the day on calls and need the room kept out of them. Neodymium speakers run 50 Hz to 18,000 Hz, the boom carries an ultra noise-cancelling microphone tuned 150 Hz to 6,800 Hz for speech, and EPOS ActiveGard limits sudden bursts on the line to protect the wearer. At 95 g it is light for a double-sided headset. One thing to understand before ordering is the connector: this is an Easy Disconnect model, which means the bottom cable is chosen separately to match what you are plugging into. Read the note below.
Compatibility — check before buying:
There is no bottom cable in this box. Easy Disconnect is a quick-release coupler on the headset side, not a device connector — on its own, article 1000555 plugs into nothing. You need to add one EPOS bottom cable: for a computer, the USB-ED CC 01, article 1000824, which EPOS lists as certified with the SC 630 and SC 660 and which adds in-line call control; for a plain USB connection without call control, the USB-ED 01, article 1000822; and for a desk phone with an RJ9 headset port, the CSTD 01, article 1000836 (coiled) or the CSTD 01-1, article 1000835 (straight). Some desk phones need a phone-specific cable rather than the standard one — tell us the phone model and we will check it for you before you order. If you want a headset that simply works out of the box on a PC, the SC 660 USB ML with a built-in USB cable and in-line control is the version to ask about instead.
