The EPOS IMPACT SC 665 is a double-sided wired on-ear headset from the IMPACT 600 series, built for people who sit at a computer all day and want a cable rather than a battery. This article, 1000645, terminates in a 3.5 mm jack on the headset itself and comes with a detachable USB-A cable that carries the in-line call control, so the same headset covers a computer and a phone or tablet. Compatibility — check before buying:
This article is USB-A. The USB-C version of the same headset is a different part number, 1000670 — check your ports before ordering. The 3.5 mm cable is the headset’s own termination and the USB cable is the detachable part, not the other way round, and that matters for what you can do: running through the USB cable you get answer, end, volume and mute; on the 3.5 mm cable alone EPOS publishes answer and end only. On the certification side, EPOS still prints Skype for Business on this series and publishes no Microsoft Teams certification for it, so if a Teams certification is a requirement in your organisation this is not the article to buy.
