The Epson ColorWorks C3500 (C31CD54012CD) is a desktop colour inkjet label printer that prints full-colour product, GHS chemical, food and retail labels on demand, so businesses can stop stocking pre-printed colour labels.

It prints up to 104 mm wide at 720 × 360 dpi with Epson DURABrite pigment ink in four separate CMYK cartridges, cuts each label with the built-in auto cutter, and connects over USB and Ethernet. With Epson pigment inks and approved media it produces BS5609-certified labels for GHS drums.

• Colour on demand: print short runs and variable colour labels — logos, pictograms, product photos — instead of ordering pre-printed stock.
• Ink cost control: four separate cartridges (SJIC22P C/M/Y/K, about 32.5 ml each) mean you replace only the colour that runs out; the SJMB3500 maintenance box collects waste ink.
• Durability: DURABrite pigment ink resists water and fading; with Epson pigment inks and approved synthetic media the printer is certified to BS5609 for GHS chemical drum labels.
• Speed: up to 103 mm/s at 56 mm width (85 mm/s at full 104 mm width) in 360 × 360 dpi speed mode; 720 × 360 dpi quality mode for fine images.
• Media: roll (30–108 mm) or fanfold (50–108 mm), die-cut or continuous, matte, glossy, synthetic or PET, on rolls up to 102 mm diameter with a core of 44.1 mm or more.
• Barcodes: built-in 1D and 2D barcodes (EAN, Code 128, GS1-128, GS1 DataBar, QR, DataMatrix, PDF417 and more) print sharply alongside colour graphics.

• Thermal labels: it is an inkjet printer and does not use thermal or thermal transfer labels — use labels approved for inkjet (pigment) printing.
• Large rolls: maximum roll diameter is 102 mm; for longer unattended runs a larger industrial colour printer is needed.
• Wi-Fi: not included; the printer connects over USB or Ethernet.
• Peeling: labels are cut, not peeled; there is no peel-and-present option on this model.
