The Equip 235213 is a complete 1-port Cat.6 surface mount box: a small white ABS housing with an unshielded RJ45 socket and LSA-IDC punch-down terminals, for terminating a network cable anywhere on a wall, desk or skirting board. It suits home offices, small offices and quick extensions where one extra network point is needed.
The socket is built into the box, so you only punch down the Cat.6 installation cable and stick the box in place with the supplied adhesive tape, no drilling required. Equip specifies Class E performance to ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173, compliant with ANSI/TIA/EIA 568, with gold-plated contacts.
Before you order: This is an unshielded (UTP) outlet. For shielded F/UTP or S/FTP installations the shield cannot be terminated, so choose a shielded outlet instead.

What It Means in Practice
- One RJ45 network point in minutes: punch down the cable, stick the box on and plug in a patch cable.
- Class E means it is rated for Gigabit Ethernet over a Cat.6 permanent link.
- At 39 x 30 x 54 mm it disappears on a skirting board or under a desk.
What Will Not Work
- It will not terminate shielded cable correctly (no shield connection).
- It is not a coupler for two patch cables: the cable side is an LSA punch-down for solid installation cable.
- It provides one port only; for two ports see the Equip 125122 keystone box.
- You need an LSA punch-down tool, which is not included.
