The Equip 128436 is a 2-metre 2-in-1 cable with a single USB-C plug for the laptop and, at the other end, both a USB-C connector and an HDMI-A connector: one cable carries 4K/60Hz video to an HDMI monitor or TV over DisplayPort Alt Mode while the USB-C leg passes up to 100 W (20 V / 5 A) USB Power Delivery 3.0 and up to 20 Gbps of USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 data. Compatibility — check before buying:
The host USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for the HDMI output to work; charge-only or data-only USB-C ports will not send video. Power Delivery passes through to the laptop only when a PD charger is connected to the USB-C leg — the cable does not generate power. Equip does not publish the DisplayPort lane configuration, so assume total bandwidth is shared between 4K/60 video and 20 Gbps data. HDMI 2.0: 4K/60 maximum, no 4K/120 or 8K.
