The equip 650150 is a VESA extension adapter: a steel plate that sits between a monitor and a mount when their hole patterns do not match. equip designed it for mounts that need a 200 × 200 mm interface, so a display with a smaller or different pattern can still be fitted to an existing monitor arm, desk mount or wall mount without replacing the whole system. equip lists it as compliant with 100 × 200, 200 × 100 and 200 × 200 mm patterns, for flat and curved displays from 23″ to 42″. It is made of high-strength steel, measures 215 × 215 × 10 mm, weighs 0.26 kg and is rated up to 30 kg — always within the rating of the mount it is attached to. In practice it is the low-cost fix when a new monitor and an existing mount do not line up.

The load limit is the lower of the two ratings: the adapter is rated up to 30 kg, but the mount’s own limit still applies, and the adapter adds 0.26 kg and about 10 mm of depth.
