The Equip 133427 is a 2 m USB-C to DisplayPort cable that connects a laptop, tablet or phone with a video-capable USB-C port to an DisplayPort monitor, TV or projector at up to 4K 60Hz.
One cable runs from the USB-C port straight to the screen, so there is no separate adapter and DisplayPort cable to carry or lose. It is plug-and-play: no drivers and no external power.
Before you order: Your USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) — Thunderbolt and USB4 ports do. Many budget laptops, charging-only USB-C ports and many phones do not output video. The signal runs one way only, from the USB-C device to the DisplayPort display.

What It Means in Practice
- Resolution: up to 4K 60Hz on a 4K monitor or TV, with smooth motion for video and everyday work.
- Mirror or extend: choose the display mode in the operating system settings (Windows key + P on Windows, Displays on macOS).
- Reach: 2 m reaches a monitor on an arm or at the back of a deep desk.
What Will Not Work
- It will not work with USB-A ports or with USB-C ports that have no DisplayPort Alt Mode.
- It does not work in reverse: it cannot bring an DisplayPort signal from a PC, camera or console into a laptop or USB-C monitor.
- There is no charging pass-through: the laptop cannot be charged through this cable.
- It will not run above 4K 60Hz: high-refresh gaming monitors (for example 1440p at 165Hz or 4K at 144Hz) run at a lower refresh rate through this cable.

Most business monitors have a DisplayPort input, and a direct USB-C to DisplayPort cable gives a clean 4K 60Hz picture with one plug at each end. If you need two screens, USB-A ports and charging from one connection, a USB-C dock is the better buy — see our docking stations.
