The Equip 221171 is a fully shielded Cat6A inline coupler with two RJ45 jacks that joins two patch cables into one longer link. It is used to extend Cat6A patch cords in data centres, server rooms and enterprise networks that run 10-Gigabit connections.
The shielded housing protects the joint against electromagnetic interference, gold-flashed contacts keep the connection reliable, and the 1:1 pin configuration passes every pair straight through. Equip specifies 500 MHz bandwidth and 10 Gbit Ethernet, with PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ support for powering cameras, access points and phones through the joint.
Before you order: For Cat6A performance, use Cat6A (or better) patch cords on both sides and keep the whole channel within 100 m.
