Equip 128389 USB4 Ultra Slim USB-C Cable (1.2 m)
40Gbps USB4240W PD 3.18K VideoUltra Slim
The Equip 128389 is an ultra-slim USB4 cable that carries data, video and power over a single USB-C connection. With up to 40Gbps transfer, 240W PD 3.1 charging and 8K video output, it matches the performance of a standard USB4 cable in a thinner, more flexible jacket that is easier to route and tidier on the desk.
Compatibility — what it works with
Works with USB4 and USB-C devices — laptops, docking stations, 8K/4K monitors (DisplayPort Alt Mode), USB4/NVMe SSDs and USB-C hubs. The built-in E-Marker enables full 240W (48V/5A) charging for power-hungry laptops. It is compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4 and backward compatible with earlier USB-C (USB 3.2 / 2.0); on slower devices speed and power step down to what that device supports. Both ends are USB-C male.
Key Features
Ultra-Slim & Flexible
A thinner, more flexible jacket makes the 128389 easier to route behind desks and docks and tidier to carry — without compromising on USB4 performance.
40Gbps + 8K Video
USB4 Gen3 transfers up to 40Gbps and DisplayPort Alt Mode drives a display up to 8K @ 60Hz, so one cable handles fast storage, docks and high-resolution monitors.
240W PD 3.1 Charging
An E-Marker chip enables the full 240W (48V/5A) Extended Power Range, fast-charging even high-wattage USB-C laptops over the same cable.

Singular Expert Insight
A full-function USB4 cable in a slim, flexible jacket is a smart everyday pick: at 40Gbps with 8K video and 240W charging it handles a dock, an external display and laptop power over one lead, while the thinner cable is far easier to manage on a desk or in a bag. The 240W rating and E-Marker mean the cable will never bottleneck your charging, even if you do not need that much power today. As always, real-world speed, resolution and charging are capped by the slower of the two devices you connect — and if you need 80Gbps for extreme bandwidth, look at the Equip 128442 instead.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a tidy, flexible USB4 cable for a dock, 8K monitor, fast SSD and 240W laptop charging — all over one slim USB-C lead.
Skip it if
You need 80Gbps (choose the Equip 128442), or you only charge a phone and move small files — a basic USB-C cable costs less.
Also consider
The 80Gbps Equip 128442 for maximum bandwidth, or a GaN USB-C charger to pair with this cable for laptop charging.
