equip 615552 Cat 6 S/FTP Patch Cable — 1.5 m, Purple

Cat 6 S/FTP PiMF250 MHz · 1 GbpsPoE / PoE+LSZH jacket

The equip 615552 is a 1.5 m Cat 6 S/FTP RJ45 patch cable in purple that delivers Gigabit Ethernet at 250 MHz for rack patching, desk connections and PoE devices in offices and small server rooms. Part number 615552 (EAN 4015867234723) uses fully shielded PiMF construction — each twisted pair in its own foil plus an overall braid — with stranded bare copper conductors and a low-smoke, zero-halogen jacket. The purple colour makes it easy to colour-code VLANs, uplinks or PoE runs in the patch panel. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility note: This is a Cat 6 cable rated for 1 Gbps at 250 MHz; it will link 10GBASE-T ports but equip does not rate this family for 10 Gbps. The conductors are thin AWG 28/7 stranded copper — fine for short patch lengths like this 1.5 m and for PoE/PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at), but equip publishes no 802.3bt (4PPoE) rating. The shield only works end-to-end when both ends plug into shielded RJ45 jacks on grounded equipment or patch panels.

Key Features

Fully shielded S/FTP PiMF
Foil around every pair plus an overall braid gives strong resistance to crosstalk and electrical noise near power cables, UPS units and dense switch racks.

Gigabit + PoE/PoE+
Rated 250 MHz and up to 1 Gbps with PoE and PoE+ support, so one cable powers and connects access points, IP phones and cameras.

LSZH, slim AWG 28/7 build
Low-smoke zero-halogen jacket for offices and public buildings; thin stranded copper conductors keep the cable flexible and easy to route in crowded panels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the equip 615552 work with PoE access points and IP cameras?
Yes. equip rates the 615552 for PoE and PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at), which covers most access points, VoIP phones and IP cameras. No 802.3bt (4PPoE) rating is published, so for 60–90 W devices choose a cable with an explicit 802.3bt rating.
Is the equip 615552 suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet?
It is a Cat 6 cable rated 250 MHz and 1 Gbps. For guaranteed 10GBASE-T performance choose a Cat 6A (500 MHz) patch cable instead.
What do I need to know before buying the equip 615552?
It is 1.5 m long, purple, with RJ45 male plugs on both ends. The S/FTP shield is most effective with shielded jacks and grounded equipment, and the LSZH jacket suits indoor offices and public buildings.
Singular Expert Insight
The equip 615552 is a sensible default for shielded Gigabit patching between patch panels and network switches: PiMF shielding and an LSZH jacket at a Cat 6 price. It belongs to a colour family (615502 grey, 615522 red, 615532 blue, 615542 green, 615552 purple, 615572 orange, 615582 pink), so you can colour-code by function. If the link runs 10 Gbps or you plan high-power PoE++, step up to an equip Cat 6A S/FTP cable with thicker AWG 26/7 conductors.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
you need 1.5 m shielded Gigabit patch leads with PoE/PoE+ and an LSZH jacket, in purple for colour-coding.
Skip it if
you need guaranteed 10 Gbps, 802.3bt PoE++ at 60–90 W, or a thin cable is not wanted for long runs.
Also consider
an equip Cat 6A S/FTP patch cable (500 MHz, 10 Gbps, AWG 26/7) for 10GbE uplinks and future-proofing.
