equip 625490 Cat 6 U/UTP Patch Cable 1.5 m Beige

Budget Cat 6 U/UTP patch lead for Gigabit desk, rack and home-office links
Cat 6 U/UTP1.5 m250 MHzBeige

The equip 625490 is a 1.5 m beige Cat 6 U/UTP RJ45 patch cable with 250 MHz bandwidth, stranded CCA conductors and moulded boots, made for short Gigabit Ethernet connections between PCs, printers, routers, switches and patch panels.

It belongs to equip's Life range — the value line of the equip patch-cable family. equip specifies copper-clad aluminium conductors (4 × 2 AWG 26/7), so it is an economical choice for everyday data links, not for Power over Ethernet or long certified channels.

Part number 625490 (EAN 4015867234396). Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Before you buy
This is a CCA (copper-clad aluminium) cable. It carries Gigabit Ethernet fine over patch lengths, but it is not a good match for PoE devices (IP cameras, PoE access points, VoIP phones) and it will not pass a formal copper certification. For those jobs choose a 100 % copper Cat 6 or Cat 6A cord instead.

Key Features

Gigabit-ready Cat 6
Cat 6 U/UTP construction rated to 250 MHz carries 1000BASE-T over patch-cord distances between your devices and the rack.

Flexible stranded conductors
AWG 26/7 stranded wires make the lead easy to route around desks and cabinets and tolerate repeated plugging.

Moulded strain-relief boots
Moulded RJ45 boots protect the latch and the cable entry point from bending damage during daily use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the equip 625490 suitable for PoE?
Not really. The 625490 uses copper-clad aluminium conductors, which have higher resistance than solid copper and warm up faster under PoE current. For PoE cameras, access points and phones, pick a 100 % copper patch cable.
Does the 625490 support Gigabit Ethernet?
Yes. As a Cat 6 U/UTP cable rated to 250 MHz it handles 1 Gbps Ethernet across normal patch-cord lengths.
What do I need to know before buying the 625490?
It is a 1.5 m beige Cat 6 U/UTP cord with CCA conductors and PVC jacket: fine for everyday data links, not for PoE or certified permanent links.
Singular Expert Insight
The 625490 is a sensible choice when you need cheap, colour-coded Gigabit patch leads in bulk. If the port on the other end is a PoE switch feeding cameras or Wi-Fi access points, move up to a 100 % copper Cat 6A cord — CCA saves money but costs headroom under power. For uplinks between network switches a shielded Cat 6A cord is the more future-proof pick.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
You need a 1.5 m Cat 6 lead for plain Gigabit data between a PC, printer or router and the switch, and price matters most.
Skip it if
The port supplies PoE (802.3af/at/bt), you are building a certified link, or you plan 2.5/5/10 Gbps later.
Also consider
A 100 % copper Cat 6A S/FTP patch cable for PoE and 10 Gbps, or equip's Cat 6A slim U/UTP line for dense racks.
