The Equip Pro 156021 is a pack of 12 LC simplex fibre optic connectors for multimode fibre with a 0.9 mm buffer, for building your own LC terminations on patch cords, pigtails or fibres in a panel.
The connector has a polymer housing and a beige boot (beige is the usual colour for multimode). The LC form factor uses a latch for secure, repeatable connections and takes half the space of SC, which is why it dominates high-density patch panels and SFP transceivers.
Before you order: These are field-termination parts, not ready cables. Equip lists them as not tool-free and does not publish the termination method (epoxy/polish, crimp or pre-polished) – you need the matching termination tools and know-how. Ask us if unsure.

What It Means in Practice
- Use them to terminate 0.9 mm buffered multimode fibre – for example to repair a damaged patch cord or to terminate fibres inside a panel.
- Two connectors (plus a duplex clip) make one duplex LC end; the pack of 12 covers six duplex ends.
- LC fits SFP/SFP+ transceivers and LC couplers directly once terminated and polished.
- Beige identifies a multimode connector; single-mode systems use blue (UPC) or green (APC).
What Will Not Work
- Not for single-mode 9/125 µm fibre – these are multimode connectors.
- Not for 2.0 or 3.0 mm jacketed cable without the right boot/crimp parts – the published fibre size is 0.9 mm.
- Not tool-free – without the right termination kit they cannot be fitted.
- Not SC or ST – for those ports choose the matching connector.
