The Equip 121179 is a fully shielded Cat6 inline coupler with two RJ45 jacks that joins two patch cables into one longer link. It is used to extend Cat6 patch cords in server rooms, network closets and offices that need consistent Gigabit connections.
The shielded housing protects the joint against electromagnetic interference, gold-flashed contacts keep the connection reliable, and the 1:1 pin configuration passes every pair straight through. Equip specifies 250 MHz bandwidth and 1 Gbit Ethernet, with PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ support for powering cameras, access points and phones through the joint.
Before you order: For Cat6 performance, use Cat6 (or better) patch cords on both sides and keep the whole channel within 100 m.
