The Equip MTP/SC trunk fibre patch cord (25557707) is a pre-terminated OM4 multimode cable, 15 m long, with one MTP connector at one end and individual SC connectors at the other. It breaks an 8-fibre MTP port out to SC ports — typically between an MTP cassette or parallel-optics port and older SC patch panels or equipment in a data centre or comms room.
Equip builds it from OM4 50/125 µm fibre in an aqua LSZH jacket, with heat-shrink tubing at the connector transition for strain relief and a controlled MTP fibre overcut of 1.0–3.0 µm for consistent optical contact.
Before you order: Equip does not publish the MTP gender (pinned or unpinned) or the polarity method of this cord. MTP connectors only mate male to female, and polarity has to suit your system — send us the MTP port, cassette or module you are connecting to and we will check it before you order.

What Will Not Work
- Single-mode (OS2) panels or optics — this is OM4 multimode.
- LC ports: the breakout side is SC — use SC-to-LC hybrid cords or an MTP-to-LC cord instead.
- An MTP port of the same gender — MTP mates male to female only.
- Outdoor or direct-burial runs: it is an indoor LSZH patch cord.
