The equip 135426 is a 24-port Cat 6 unshielded 19-inch 1U patch panel in black (RAL 9005). It mounts in a 19-inch rack or cabinet and takes up 1U. Installation cable is punched down on the back with an LSA or 110 punch-down tool, and the 24 RJ45 sockets on the front take ordinary patch cords, rated for Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T). In practice it gives the cables coming from wall outlets and ceilings a fixed, labelled end point next to your switch, so that moves and changes are made with short patch cords at the panel instead of re-terminating installation cable.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is the unshielded (UTP) Cat 6 model, for Gigabit links. The ports are fixed and terminated with an LSA or 110 punch-down tool, which is not in the box. It is unshielded (UTP): use it with U/UTP cable, not in a shielded (STP/FTP) installation. It needs a standard 19-inch rack or cabinet with 1U free. Not sure it matches your cabling?
