Equip 128357 — 2 m USB-C Cable, 10Gbps, 100W and 4K 60Hz
USB 3.2 Gen 2 · 10Gbps100W PD · e-marker4K 60Hz DP Alt Mode2 m · Black
The Equip 128357 is a 2 m USB-C to USB-C cable with USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps data, 100W (20V/5A) USB Power Delivery and 4K 60Hz video over DisplayPort Alt Mode — one all-round cable for a laptop, a USB-C monitor, an external SSD or a phone.
An integrated e-marker chip tells the charger the cable is rated for 5A, which is what a laptop needs to draw more than 60W. Gold-plated contacts, double shielding and aluminium connector housings make it a cable that survives a laptop bag, and 2 m is long enough to reach a wall socket or a monitor at the back of the desk.
Before you order: Video only works when the source USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and the monitor has a USB-C input. For laptops that charge above 100W (some 16-inch workstations and gaming laptops) use a 240W EPR cable.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Equip 128357 USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C to USB-C cable, 2 m, black
What It Means in Practice
- Laptop charging: works with USB-C chargers up to 100W, which covers most business laptops, MacBook Air and 14-inch MacBook Pro models.
- External SSD: 10Gbps is the speed of most portable USB SSDs, so the cable will not slow them down.
- USB-C monitor: carries a 4K 60Hz picture to a monitor with a USB-C input; many such monitors also charge the laptop back through the same cable.
- Phones and tablets: charges and syncs any USB-C phone, including iPhone 15 and later.
What Will Not Work
- It will not deliver more than 100W — a 140W or 240W laptop charger will be limited to 100W through this cable.
- It is not a Thunderbolt or USB4 40Gbps cable; Thunderbolt docks need a Thunderbolt/USB4 cable for full bandwidth.
- It does not connect to HDMI or DisplayPort monitors; for those you need a USB-C to HDMI or DisplayPort cable.
- It cannot add video to a USB-C port that has no DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A 10Gbps, 100W, 4K-capable USB-C cable is the sensible everyday choice: it charges almost every business laptop, runs a USB-C monitor and does not slow down a portable SSD. Only Thunderbolt docks and 240W laptops need something more. If you want more ports from one connection, look at our docking stations.
✓ Buy it if you want one 2 m USB-C cable that charges a laptop, runs a USB-C monitor and connects an SSD.
✕ Skip it if you need Thunderbolt/USB4 40Gbps bandwidth or more than 100W charging.
