Equip 128963 — USB-C Hub with Four USB-C Ports
4 x USB-C downstream5 Gbps SuperSpeed7.7 mm aluminium bodyRealtek RTS5411
The equip 128963 is an unusual hub: all four of its downstream ports are USB-C, not USB-A. It plugs into a USB-C computer on a 15 cm captive lead and hands back four USB-C sockets, each running at up to 5 Gbps through a Realtek RTS5411 controller. The aluminium body is 101 mm long and 7.7 mm thick and weighs 35 g, which is about as slim as a four-port hub gets.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Read this before ordering: there are no USB-A ports on this hub. Every downstream socket is USB-C, so a USB-A flash drive, an older keyboard or a printer cable will not fit without a separate C-to-A adapter. If you want USB-A sockets, this is the wrong model. It also has no video output, no Ethernet and no dedicated Power Delivery input — equip describes USB-C power delivery to connected devices at ordinary USB current, which means charging a phone, not charging your laptop through the hub. The host end is USB-C and it is bus-powered, with no mains adapter supplied. equip lists Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11, macOS 10.6 or newer and ChromeOS.
Best For
✓ Newer laptops and tablets where the peripherals are already USB-C
✓ USB-C external SSDs and card readers
✓ Phones and tablets that charge over USB-C at standard current
✓ Travel — 35 g and 7.7 mm thick
✓ Desks that have standardised on USB-C cables
✓ Replacing a tangle of single C-to-C adapters
Key Features
Four USB-C ports, not four USB-A
The whole point of this model. If your drives, dongles and cables have already moved to USB-C, this hub keeps everything on one connector type instead of forcing an adapter onto each device.
5 Gbps through an RTS5411
equip names the controller, a Realtek RTS5411 — the same class of chip used in mainstream branded hubs. The 5 Gbps is shared across the four ports, so one drive at a time gets the full rate.
Aluminium and genuinely slim
7.7 x 20.7 x 101 mm and 35 g. The aluminium shell also helps shed the heat four active ports generate, which a plastic body of this thickness would not.
No driver, no adapter
Plug and play on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, powered entirely from the host port. Rated for 0 to 45 °C operation and CE and RoHS marked.

Singular Expert Insight
This hub is a deliberate bet on a USB-C desk, and it is worth checking that yours actually is one before ordering — the most common disappointment with four-port USB-C hubs is opening the box and finding nowhere to put a USB-A stick. Where the bet pays off is a newer laptop paired with USB-C external SSDs and card readers, because you stop carrying adapters entirely. What it does not do is replace a dock: no screen output, no network socket, and no way to charge the laptop through it. If any of those are on your list, a docking station is the right category.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Your peripherals are already USB-C and you want four more USB-C ports from a 35 g aluminium hub that disappears into a laptop sleeve.
Skip it if
Skip it if you still use USB-A devices, if you want to charge the laptop through the hub, or if you need video or Ethernet from the same cable.
Also consider
A four-port USB-A hub if your devices are still USB-A, or a USB-C docking station if a monitor and a network port need to come off the same connector.
