Equip 128381 USB-C Cable 1.2 m — USB4 · 40 Gbps

40 Gbps USB4240W PD 3.18K 60Hz
The Equip 128381 is a 1.2 m USB4 USB-C to USB-C cable that combines 40 Gbps data, 8K 60Hz DisplayPort video and up to 240W USB Power Delivery 3.1 EPR charging in a single braided lead. It is Thunderbolt 3 and 4 compatible, so it can link a laptop to a Thunderbolt or USB4 dock, a fast NVMe enclosure or a USB-C monitor.
Before you buy
Full 40 Gbps needs USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4 ports at both ends, and 240W needs an EPR charger and device — otherwise the cable falls back to what the hardware supports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Equip 128381 with a Thunderbolt 4 dock?
Yes. It is a 40 Gbps USB4 cable that Equip lists as Thunderbolt 3/4 compatible, so docks, eGPU enclosures and Thunderbolt storage run at full bandwidth over its 1.2 m length.
Why 1.2 m and not longer?
Passive 40 Gbps cables are limited in length by signal integrity; around 1–1.2 m is the practical maximum for full USB4/Thunderbolt speed. Longer USB-C cables usually drop to 20 Gbps or lower.
Singular Expert Insight
This is the do-everything cable for a modern USB4 or Thunderbolt laptop: dock, display, storage and 240W charging on one lead. If you only charge and never need bandwidth, a USB 2.0 240W cable is cheaper; for a 20 Gbps option with more reach, the Equip 128422 (2 m) fits. Pair it with one of our USB-C docking stations for a single-cable desk.
✓ Buy it if you want one 1.2 m cable for Thunderbolt/USB4 docks, 8K displays and 240W charging.
✕ Skip it if you need more than about 1.2 m — full 40 Gbps is not possible on long passive cables.
→ Also consider Verbatim 31847 (USB4 240W, Kevlar braid) or EFB EBUSBC40-TB40G.0.8 (0.8 m, 100W).
