The X301W is a desk SIP phone with two accounts, a backlit 2.3-inch screen and built-in 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi. It gives a fixed desk extension network access where a wired LAN connection is inconvenient. Connect it to a compatible SIP service/PBX over Wi-Fi or Ethernet and provide the required external 5V/1A DC power. Wi-Fi carries network traffic; the phone still needs a power cable.
Before you order:
X301W does not support PoE. The manufacturer lists a handset, RJ9 cord, 1.5 m CAT5e Ethernet cable and stand; adapter inclusion in the retail package is not confirmed. EHS headsets need compatible optional APD-80 or EHS20 cables. Wall mounting requires additional parts. Parking, pickup, voicemail and recording depend on the server.
What It Means in Practice
- For a typical extension, register the SIP account, answer on the handset or speakerphone, put a caller on hold and transfer to a colleague using the dedicated controls. A compatible headset can keep your hands free.
- The second Ethernet port can bridge a PC connection, but both ports are 10/100 Mbps. Consider that limit before routing a faster workstation connection through the phone. The 6-way conference includes the organiser and up to five other participants.

Store up to 1000 local contacts, use XML/LDAP remote directories and review a 600-entry call log. Provisioning and web management support deployment by the phone-system administrator.
