The Gamber-Johnson 7160-1869-02 is a rugged backlit 2-in-1 keyboard dock that turns a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro, Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro or the original Tab Active Pro into a laptop-style field terminal, with a German 76-key keyboard, an integrated touchpad with left and right buttons and a red backlight for low-light work. The tablet docks on a pogo-pin connector; a USB-C input (5.4 V, 1.5 A) charges the tablet through the dock without undocking it and a USB-A 2.0 port takes a flash drive or other peripheral. Gamber-Johnson designs it to IP54, tests it to MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, rates it from −20 °C to 60 °C, and includes the power adapter in the box.

Compatibility — check before buying:
For the Galaxy Tab Active Pro, Tab Active4 Pro and Tab Active5 Pro only — it does not fit the Tab Active3, Active5 (non-Pro) or any other Samsung tablet. This is the German layout (7160-1869-02); the same dock exists as 7160-1869-00 (US English), -01 (UK English), -02 (German), -03 (French) and -04 (Spanish), so check the last two digits. Layout: German QWERTZ swaps Y and Z, puts Ü, Ö, Ä and ß on dedicated keys and moves most symbols and brackets compared with a US or UK keyboard. Choose it only if you type in German; for English use in Cyprus ask us for the US or UK version of the same model. Do not confuse it with the 7160-1450 series, which is the same dock without backlighting. Gamber-Johnson states it is not designed to be vehicle-mounted. The USB-C port is for charging the tablet through the dock, not a data port for a PC.

Yes — Gamber-Johnson lists the Tab Active Pro, Active4 Pro and Active5 Pro for this backlit dock. It does not fit the Tab Active3 or the non-Pro Active5.

Both are 2-in-1 keyboards for the same tablets. The 1869 has the red backlight; the 1450 does not.
Can I charge the tablet while it is docked?
