The Gembird A-HDMI-DVI-1 is a compact adapter with an HDMI Type-A male plug on one side and a DVI-D single-link (18+1) male plug on the other. It connects the HDMI and DVI worlds by plugging into a female HDMI or DVI socket, for example on the end of a cable or a coupler.
HDMI and DVI-D carry the same digital video signal, so the adapter is passive and supports resolutions up to 1920×1200 at 60Hz. The contacts are gold-plated.
Compatibility Note: Both ends are male plugs, so the adapter needs a female socket on each side, usually on a cable. DVI does not carry audio, and single-link DVI-D does not support analogue VGA or resolutions above 1920×1200.
