The Gigabyte B860M D3W (part number B860M D3W) is a Micro-ATX motherboard for Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors on Socket LGA1851, based on the Intel B860 chipset — a practical base for office, business and entry workstation PCs.
A 4+1+2 hybrid VRM powers mainstream Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 chips, and four DDR5 slots take up to 256GB, with XMP kits up to 9066 MT/s (OC). ECC unbuffered DIMMs are accepted but run in non-ECC mode.
The graphics slot runs PCIe 5.0 x16, and two M.2 slots (one from the CPU, one from the chipset) support PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs, alongside four SATA ports. Business-friendly touches include a PS/2 port, a serial (COM) header and three display outputs — HDMI 2.1 plus two DisplayPort 2.1.
Compatibility note: Rear USB is limited to 5 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1) and USB 2.0, LAN is 1 Gbps and there is no Wi-Fi. The B860 chipset does not allow CPU overclocking, and the modest 4+1+2 VRM is best matched with Core Ultra 5/7 rather than a sustained-load Core Ultra 9. Display outputs require a CPU with integrated graphics (not F models).
